The GFXBench
site has leaked the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 as the successor of the last year
models- Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3.
The site too lists a 3D performance graphics for the Mega 2 while the
model number goes like SM-G7508. Taking a closer look at the leaked specs we
came to know that the new model listed on the benchmark has a 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon
410 Quad Core processor and Adreno 306 Graphics. It thus shall become the foremost
Smartphone to have a 64-bit processor.
The device
has a 1.8GB RAM and an internal storage of 8GB out of which only 5.1 is available
to use- thus carving one weak spec. The display is 5.9-Inch long with a
resolution of 1280 x 720.
Camera
The rear Camera
is of 12MP, which is supposed to be the 4:3 format of the 16 mega-pixel ISOCELL
camera of the Galaxy S5. The device also features a 4.7 MP front camera with
1080p and the capability to shoot full HD videos.
Some of the
key specs of the rear camera include Autofocus, face Detection, Touch Focus,
and a flash, while the front camera has a Full HD resolution recording
capacity.
Operating System
This Android
device will have the latest version that is, KITKAT 4.4.3 which will probably
upgrade to a higher level of the Android version- L.
Other exclusive features
These include
an accelerometer, GPS, Proximity sensor, NFC, Gyrometer, light sensor, and Bluetooth
connectivity. Barometer is absent in the device when compared to other flagships by Samsung. You may be able to use Wi-Fi as well on the device. If you are planning to have a dual sim card slot then the choice has to changed. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has a mono sim slot.
As of now,
no speculated date is publicized for the release of Samsung Galaxy Mega 2. However,
with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 imminent into the markets this September, the Mega
2 is nowhere to be launched soon. The pricing too is not yet out. Analyzing the specs we are expecting the pricing to be somewhere in the mid-range.
